INNOVATIVE MODULAR COMPRESSED AIR ENERGY STORAGE (CAES) BASED ON HIGH-EFFICIENCY ROTOR-PISTON MACHINE

Energy storage is a booming market that is only growing. We create scalable solution that can work globally!

The requirement to tackle the climate crisis and the volatile energy market has become urgent. In the move towards weather-dependent renewable production, there is increasingly dependency on energy storage to secure and balance the electricity supply. The energy storage problem for Ukraine is urgent due to the ward-estroyed grid infrastructure.

We developing a modular and scalable solution CAES_BATTERY based on our innovations

  • Grid-scale energy storage that can be scaled globally.
  • Clean solution using compressed air that does not rely on rare-earth minerals.
  • High round-trip efficiency of 70-85 percent.
  • Reduced capital costs due to reduced compressed air requirements for reverse generation.
  • Long lifecycle resulting in a low levelized cost of storage

COMPRESSED AIR ENERGY STORAGE (CAES)

is a promising and versatile energy storage technology, which can store and release large amounts of energy for long periods of time, with low environmental impact and medium capital cost.

  • Existing CAES projects and technologies faces some challenges and limitations, such as the low round-trip efficiency, the site dependency and the medium safety risk.
  • Therefore, CAES needs further research and development, to improve its performance and reliability, and to reduce its cost and risk.

We developing a modular and scalable solution CAES-BATTERY based on our innovations:
  • Our rotor-piston machine as an air expander power recovery unit has a less requirement to the pressure and consumption of compressed air during energy output process.
  • It leads to a reduction in the requirements for the characteristics of the CAES elements and systems.
  • -1-
Reduced requirements for storing compressed air enhance the economic efficiency of using both underground caverns and metal tanks for storage.
  • -2-
Reduction in the amount of heat required for generation, which leads to an increase in the efficiency of the system.
  • -3-
As a result, a reduction in capital costs for the entire system with an increase in its overall efficiency.
  • -4-
At the same time - high availability and reliability
